Dr. Omesh Goyal is a Professor of Gastroenterology and Chief of the Neurogastroenterology and GI Motility Unit at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, India. His research focuses on the epidemiology and overlap of disorders of gut–brain interaction (DGBIs), particularly functional dyspepsia (FD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). He has pioneered work in India on the role of diet and psychological comorbidities in the clinical presentation and management of DGBIs. Dr. Goyal has authored more than 80 research articles and has contributed as a member of expert groups formulating Indian guidelines on IBS, constipation, dyspepsia, and related disorders.
