Dr. Petrik is a clinical health psychologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Prior to her faculty appointment, she completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC) at the Denver VA Medical Center. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology at Marquette University after completing her predoctoral internship at Denver Health Medical Center. Dr. Petrik provides outpatient clinical services in the Primary Care Clinic, GI Clinic, and inpatient consultation on medical units at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Her research focuses on improving the assessment and management of suicide risk in general medical settings.
