Eva M Szigethy, MD, PhD, is Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Szigethy is a practicing child and adult psychiatrist. She is a certified American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) consultant who has been practicing and studying medical hypnosis for many years with patients with gastrointestinal diseases and disorders. Recently, she has focused her clinical and research interests on designing integrated medical-psychiatric models of care for patients with chronic disease. Dr. Szigethy incorporates behavioral tools within the integrated care models across the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center system as Director of Behavioral Health within the Chief Medical and Scientific Office at UPMC.
