Amy Hale PhD is an Attending Psychologist in the Department of Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Within the Division of Gastroenterology she is part of the multidisciplinary Functional Abdominal Program, provides individual and group therapy, and leads CE workshops on psychological treatments for DGBIs. Amy also serves as Clinical Lead of the Comfort Ability Program within Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Connecticut and completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in the Department of Gastroenterology. Her clinical and research interests include chronic pain, functional gastrointestinal symptoms, and dissemination of evidence-based treatments.
